Fashion Show
A Vintage Fashion Show , "Fashion Crazes of the 20th Century", will be presented by Deborah Rush on Saturday June 7th, 2008 at 2:00 pm on the mezzanine level of The Concourse.





Swing Dancing

A Swing Dance performance by Michael and Hep Jen will be held on the lower level of The Concourse on Sunday, June 8th, 2008 at 2:30 PM.









Book Signing

Peter and Deborah Keresztury, producers of the ART DECO and MODERNISM SALES, have been collecting Art Deco bakelite boxes and jewelry for the past 25 years. Their fabulous collection is featured in a new book co-authored by them and Nancy Schiffer of Schiffer Publishing Company. The book includes hundreds of items that reflect the streamline modern designs of the 1920's and 30's. The Kereszturys will be selling some of the bakelite jewelry and boxes from their massive collection, and signing books in their booth, at the next ART DECO AND MODERNISM SALE.




Architectural Tours





The Art Deco Society of California will lead two architectural walking tours in The Bay Area on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, June 7, 2008 - DOWNTOWN DISTRICT -

Tour focuses on the fabulous Art Deco commercial buildings, including the Pacific Stock Exchange, the 450 Sutter Medical Building and others. Flat terrain - 1-1/2 hour tour Meet at 450 Sutter at 11:00 AM.

Sunday, June 8, 2008 - MARINA DISTRICT -

See San Francisco's greatest concentration of surviving Deco-era buildings. There are 40 buildings on this tour, including 2 ADSC Preservation Awards Winners. Flat terrain - 1-1/2 hour tour. Meet at 11:00 AM at Marina Middle School, Fillmore at Chestnut Street.
